Off-Campus Residential Colleges are responsible for:
- Responsible for managing conducive off-campus residential facilities and infrastructure
- Managing student rental housing database
- Manage facilities and facilitate matters regarding the welfare and safety of off-campus students
The Off-Campus Residential College manages two (2) off-campus residential units which house undergraduate (Year 2 and above) and postgraduate students of UMT, namely:
- Residensi Tembesu Off-Campus Residential College (KKLKRT)
- Taman Permint Makmur Off-Campus Residential College (KKLKTPM)
RESIDENSI TEMBESU OFF-CAMPUS RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE (KKLKRT)
Residensi Tembesu Off-Campus Residential College (KKLKRT) houses 31 Townhouse-concept residential units and each residential unit (upper & lower) is equipped with basic facilities – 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets, kitchen, bed, mattress, curtains, wardrobe, study table and shoe rack for student usage.
10 residential units have been designated for UMT international student accommodation with each bedroom equipped with air conditioning using a smart meter system and each toilet equipped with a water heater. The rental rates for KKLKRT are as follows:
- Undergraduate students: MYR931.00 per semester
- International postgraduate students: MYR750.00/MYR600.00 (depending on room size) per month

TAMAN PERMINT MAKMUR OFF-CAMPUS RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE (KKLKTPM)
Taman Permint Makmur Off-Campus Residential College (KKLKTPM) locates 18 housing units consisting of houses with monthly rental rates between MYR1,200.00 or MYR700.00. These residential units are equipped with basic facilities such as spacious rooms, toilets, kitchens, beds, mattresses, curtains and rubber mats.
For the KKLKTPM Single House, air conditioning facilities are provided using smart meter system with monthly rental rates according to room size, which are MYR500.00 (main room), MYR400.00 (2nd room) and MYR350.00 (3rd room). This rental house is only open for rental to active UMT international students.
